We are going to be detectives on the case to find peace in our communities, families and lives.
The mission of Peacemakers' Day Camp is to provide peacemaking skills to a diverse group of children in a safe, fun environment. The teachers, staff, and teen counselors - all of whom are volunteers - are committed to work together to guide the campers and to respond to group and individual needs.
Through play, discussion, projects, helping others, and interacting with nature, campers gain confidence in themselves as peacemakers. Every day, campers learn and practice various skills such as giving put-ups, building peace bridges, compromising, negotiating, using "I" messages and sharing respect.
